On Tuesday, 21 February 2023, the Christian University of Indonesia will hold an international webinar titled "Engineering for Innovation:
Issues, Challenges, and Opportunities". This event was held online through the Zoom Meetings platform and offline at Graha William Soeryadjaya (GWS) and this event was held at 09.00 - 12.00 WIB. UKI International and the Faculty of Engineering at the Christian University of Indonesia invite students to attend public lectures. the webinar talked about international engineering, but before the source person gave material to discuss, the opening showed a campus promotion, first promotion was held by the Christian university of Indonesia, and the second one was from the university of applied science upper Austria, and after the upgrade the MC giving a time to the greeting from Dr. Veda R. Sitepu as the vice-rector for student affair and cooperation of the Christian university of Indonesia, and then the greetings from Prof. Dr.Andreas Zehetner is the vice president of the international, university of applied sciences upper Austria. This seminar was guided by moderator Ir. Surjo Abadi, M.Sc (Lecturer in the Mechanical Engineering Study Program at the Christian University of Indonesia. The Christian University of Indonesia also invited two speakers from the University of Applied Science Upper Austria 2023 and one from the Christian University of Indonesia.

The first speaker is Prof. Dr. Andreas Zehetner, he was talking about the first time he is wearing a batik from
Indonesia because that is he is just bought it, and then the second he is
showing to all the audience about their university mascot, after that he is
started to explain his PowerPoint that discuss engineering for
innovation: relevance, rigor, and relationship, for more understanding the
point from the discussion he is using an example from their university because
they have a campus of communication media and informatics, also they have a
campus of medical science, the campus of business which is the largest one. After
that he is talking about global sales and marketing, in here he is discus
talking about the student want to exchange with their campus, after that
medical engineering, interactive media, innovation and product management,
electrical engineering, automotive mechatronics and management, sustainable
energy system, and the last one is about biology and engineering. These four institutions stand out because they collaborate on a wide range of subjects and are structured and interdisciplinary. For instance, we use the resources of our engineering school to comprehend how to create, transport and save energy, but this is just one instance of how we do so. The "3-R", applied to good innovation engineering are Relevance, Rigor, and Relation.
Relevance. helping the individual or helping the society. The most relevant topics in environmental engineering are materials, pollution toxicity, removal, biomass, bioenergy, water wastewater treatment, and sustainability. All that, the topic directly refers to creating a better world for the individual or for society. At our University, we have six main research topics and they are all aligned, to this relevant thought what does it help the individual and what does it help society. We must choose to engineer to benefit people and society as a whole, not just one aspect of it. Logistics, energy, medical engineering, food technology nutrition, smart production, and automobile mobility are pertinent study areas. Rigor. scientific rigor is the strict application of scientific methods to ensure an unbiased and well-controlled, experimental design methodology, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of results. Relation. Relationship with the industry is a major asset. reduce barriers to stakeholders rethinking research from a business perspective: Connect innovation in business and in universities through applied research, balance mainstream themes (eg digitization) with uncharted territory, Escape the silos: encourage cross-disciplinary research initiatives. U2G: align with government programs and initiatives (networking with the government), involve stakeholders: Invite business leaders to complete your research initiatives, create a familiar structure: align the corporate structure and university governance, and celebrate success together.
Prof. Andreas Zehetner
(Vice President International of the University of Applied Science Upper Austria)
Topic: engineering for innovation, Relevance, Rigor, and Relationship
The second material was talking about renewable energy, a material that was discus by Dr. Sally S Napitupulu in the presentation I got that for renewable energy we must see our future and then clear the energy for our generation and keep them up to the sun and wind, to accomplish it we must do it together that is the meaning of multi-discipline. The main problem was global warming, in this era global warming more strong than in the old era, because the power of society 5.0 is very impacting here, from there global warming is strong a year back, and Indonesia is one country have a high temperature in Asia, then in 2021, the renewable energy in Indonesia is still low. And then for renewable energy we must work together, there is a 4th point to using renewable energy, the first one is wind turbines, which is meaning using open lands that have potential as a wind farms, such as the north coast is located in Jakarta, the second one is a hydro turbine which is meaning using large rivers that have the potential as hydroelectric power, such as Kayan and Mamberamo river, then the third method is solar, using open areas or private lands to become solar farm, such as roof or shared land that is planned as a regional solar farm, and then the last one is Indonesia and the renewable energy, which is meaning Indonesia renewable resources have the potential to produce more than 400 GW of power. That an architectural approach that originated from a concern for the environment does not out the possibility of a deepening of architecture through interdisciplinary collaboration, together with environmental medicine, together with engineering, together with applied science, and engineering.

Dr. Sally Septania Napitupulu, S.T., M.T.
(Lecturer of Architecture Study Program at Universitas Kristen Indonesia)
topic: Renewable Energy
The last presentation it was held by Prof Peter Kremser as their host professor, and then in there he was talking about the profile of engineering In the future. Here he made some big idea to focus the engineer in Australia for applied in Indonesia or in the Christian university of Indonesia, and then he was a speech about the student because from his conclusion he talks that student is a gold generation to the future, so as the lecture he must support all the student for develop their ability, because from the possibility that he looked before he believes that Indonesia will have a ranger engineer, and he is shown to all the audiences for the result from a high-quality machine that can work together with the environment.
